Synopsis

Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) is seeking proposals from qualified firms to provide various inventory items. When possible, WMATA will evaluate alternate parts to potentially add to WMATA’s Quality Product List (QPL).

A pre-proposal conference will not be held. Your proposal must be submitted in accordance with RFP terms and emailed to prmt_inventory@wmata.com. Proposals must be emailed no later than 2:00 PM on October 9, 2015. If you have any questions, Technical, Contractual or Administrative, please email them to the Contract Administrator, Lily Cheung at prmt_inventory@wmata.com no later than 12:00 Noon on September 28, 2015. WMATA will provide written answers via amendment published on the same web address.

Required proposal documents from vendors offering products on WMATA’s Quality Product List:

1. Solicitation, Offer & Award Form 2. Acknowledgement of Amendment(s) (if any) 3. Price and Delivery Schedule 4. Pre Award Survey 5. Representations and Certifications 6. Certificate of Insurance

Required documents from vendors who has not previously sold WMATA the proposed parts:

1. Items 1 through 6 above 2. Letter stating you are an authorized distributor / supplier for the manufacturer, and 3. Physical characteristics, properties, specifications and drawing of the proposed part

Required documents from vendors seeking to be added to WMATA’s QPL for each part to be included under Technical Proposal, Volume II:

A. Items 1 through 6 above B. Submission of proof which illustrates that the product complies and adheres to appropriate industry standards for form, fit and function, including but not limited to ASTM, FMVSS, MIL, SAE or UL; C. Accredited Independent Laboratory analysis report on the proposed part; D. Physical characteristics, properties, specifications and drawing of the proposed part; E. Copy of Quality Assurance Program and Quality Assurance Manual for the proposed part; or, F. Contact names and telephone numbers of other Municipalities with Transit fleets and/or other users that utilize the proposed part.
