Metrobus Passes

SmarTrip® card

7-Day Regional Bus Pass $17.50
Pass available only on SmarTrip® cards for seven consecutive days of unlimited bus travel. On express Metrobuses, the pass reduces the express bus fare by the price of a regular bus fare. (For example, if you are required to pay full fare, the express bus fare was $4, and a regular bus fare was $1.75, then your SmarTrip® card would be charged $2.25.) Existing SmarTrip® card users may purchase this pass by logging in to your account online, or by visiting the Metro Sales Office, any regional transit store or select retail outlets. Monthly Unlimited Passes (Need help choosing? Learn more here)

Metro's monthly commuter pass (formerly SelectPass) saves you money on bus and rail travel. That's free weekends, free trips to run errands, free trips to do whatever you want.

Available at every fare level, use the dropdown below to select the monthly pass that matches your commute.

All monthly passes include unlimited trips on Metrobus at no extra charge. On Metrobus Express and Airport routes, the pass covers the first $2 of fare and does not cover bus fare on ART, DC Circulator, CUE, DASH, Fairfax Connector, The Bus, or Ride On. If you take a rail trip with a fare above your selected price point, pay the difference using your card's Stored Value.

Monthly passes start automatically and are good for one calendar month based on the timing below:

Buy before the 15th of any month and the Monthly Unlimited Pass is valid for the remainder of the current month.

Buy on or after the 16th of any month and the Monthly Unlimited Pass is valid for the following month.
