Weeknight service adjustments for rebuilding January 2-6, 2017
Advisory Effective: 1/2/17 - 1/4/17
Metrorail reconstruction continues Monday through Saturday this week with the following service adjustments beginning at 8:00 p.m.
Passengers at stations impacted by these service adjustments are asked to follow Passenger Information Display signs, station announcements or consult a Station Manager for any boarding location changes.20-25 minutes
Red Line: Every- Monday through Thursday, single tracking between Friendship Heights & Medical Center to allow for rail fastener and stud renewal, joint elimination and leak mitigation.
- Tuesday through Saturday, single tracking between Forest Glen & Wheaton to allow for communication cable installation.
Orange Line: Every 20-25 minutes
Monday through Thursday, single tracking between
McPherson Square & Foggy Bottom to allow for rail & fastener renewal and joint elimination.
Silver Line: Every 20-25 minutes
Monday through Thursday, Silver Line trains will operate between Wiehle-Reston East and Ballston stations only to accommodate rebuilding on the Orange & Blue lines.
Customers traveling to/from other stations should use Orange and/or Blue line trains to complete their trip. At Ballston, transfer between Silver and Orange line trains on the same platform.
Blue Line: every 20-25 minutes
Monday through Thursday, single tracking between

Yellow Line: Regular weeknight service
Green Line: Regular weeknight service
