Temporary Detour: Alexandria Turkey Trot Del Ray 2025 on November 27

Routes Affected: A11, A12 

On Thursday, November 27, from 5:00am to 12:30pm, buses will detour due to the Alexandria Turkey Trot Del Ray 2025. Please allow additional travel time and avoid the area if possible.

Street Closures: 

• Mt Vernon Ave between E. Braddock Rd and Hume Ave  

• Uhler Ave between Mt Vernon and Commonwealth Ave 

• E Oxford Ave between Mt Vernon and Commonwealth Ave 

• Commonwealth Ave between W Mt Ida and E/W Rosemont Ave 

• W Chapman St between Commonwealth Ave and Russell Rd 

• W Linden St between Commonwealth Ave and Russell Rd 

• E Linden St between Russell Rd and Mt Vernon Ave 

• Mt Vernon Ave between E Linden St and Walnut St 

• E Maple St between Mt Vernon and Commonwealth Ave 

• Commonwealth Ave between Maple St and Oxford Ave 

The following routes will detour:  

A11 Pentagon-Huntington northbound towards Pentagon 

• Buses begin detouring at Braddock Road Station (Bus Bay A), resuming regular route on Mt Vernon at W Reed Ave. 

A11 Pentagon-Huntington southbound towards Huntington 

• Buses begin detouring on Mt. Vernon Ave at W Glebe Rd, resuming regular route on Pendleton St at N Patrick St. 

A12 Ballston-Hunting Point northbound towards Ballston 

• Buses begin detouring at Braddock Road Station (Bus Bay A), resuming regular route on Mt Vernon at W Reed Ave. 

A12 Ballston-Hunting Point southbound towards Hunting Point 

• Buses begin detouring on Mt. Vernon Ave at W Glebe Rd, resuming regular route on Pendleton St at N Patrick St.
