Temporary Detour: 2025 National Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony on December 4

Thursday, December 4, 2025 | 12:00pm to 8:00pm 

Routes Affected: D10, D20, D50, D5X, D72, D80, D94, D96, F19 

On Thursday, December 4, buses will detour from 12pm until 8pm because of the 2025 National Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony. Please allow additional travel time and avoid the area if possible.

•   Buses will operate between Minnesota Ave Station and the stop located at 17th St, NW and I St (Stop #1001193).

•   Buses begin detouring on Maine Ave, SW at 7th St, resuming regular route on 14th St, NW at K St.  

 

   D50 14th St southbound towards Waterfront 

 

• Buses begin detouring on 14 St, NW at H St, resuming regular route on M St, SW at 6th St.  

 

D5X 14th St Limited northbound towards Takoma Station 

 

•   Buses begin detouring on F St, NW at 13th St, resuming regular route on 14th St, NW at K St.
