Temporary Detour:  43rd Annual Turkey Chase Charity Race on November 27

Routes Affected: M70, M22, D96 

On Thursday, November 27, buses will detour from 5:30am until 1pm because of the 43rd Annual Turkey Chase Charity Race. Please allow additional travel time and avoid the area if possible.

Street Closures: 

• Old Georgetown Rd btwn Spruce Tree Ave & Cedar Ln 

• Old Georgetown Rd btwn Commerce Ln & Spruce Tree Ave 

• Wisconsin Ave btwn Pooks Hill Rd & Commerce Ln 

• Rockville Pk to Wisconsin Ave btwn W Cedar Ln & Bradley Blvd 

• Bradley Blvd btwn Wisconsin Ave & Arlington Rd 

The following routes will detour:  

M70 East West Highway eastbound towards Silver Spring  

• Buses begin detouring on Old Georgetown Rd at Capital Beltway 495 East, resuming regular route on East West Highway at Connecticut Ave.  

   M70 East West Highway westbound towards Montgomery Mall 

• Buses begin detouring on Old Georgetown Rd at Capital Beltway 495 East, resuming regular route on East West Highway at Connecticut Ave.  

   M22 Olney-Bethesda  

• Buses will operate between Bethesda and the stop located at Connecticut Ave and Montrose Dr. (Stop #2000233) 

D96 Massachusetts Ave-Bethesda  

• Buses will operate between Potomac Park and Friendship Heights Bus Bay J (Stop #2000023).
