Temporary Detour: Weight Restrictions and Emergency Repairs on Roosevelt Bridge, February 14

Routes Affected: 3F, 3Y, 16Y
Due to newly imposed weight restrictions and emergency repairs on Roosevelt Bridge, buses will detour until further notice. Customers are encouraged to plan ahead and allow additional travel time. To maintain consistent and reliable service for 3Y customers, the current route will be made permanent Sunday, December 11 for the foreseeable future. Ongoing construction, lane closures, and restrictions on the bridge continue to create traffic delays that impact buses. Consider using Metrorail as an alternate travel option.
The following routes will detour:
3F Lee Highway-McPherson Square eastbound toward McPherson Square
- Buses begin detouring on the exit service roadway to Rosslyn/Key Bridge at I-66 E., resuming regular route on Constitution Ave NW at 23rd St.
3F Lee Highway-McPherson Square westbound toward East Falls Church
- Buses begin detouring on 14th St NW at I St, resuming regular route on Langston Blvd at I-66 W.
3Y Lee Highway-McPherson Square eastbound toward McPherson Square
- Buses begin detouring on N. Lynn St at Langston Blvd, resuming regular route on 18th St NW at F St.
3Y Lee Highway-McPherson Square westbound toward East Falls Church
- Buses begin detouring on E St NW at 19th St resuming regular route on Langston Blvd at Fort Myer Dr.
16Y Columbia Pike-Farragut Square eastbound toward McPherson Square
- Buses begin detouring on Arlington Blvd at Pershing Dr, resuming regular route on 18th St NW at F St.
16Y Columbia Pike-Farragut Square westbound toward Barcroft
- Buses begin detouring on 19th St NW at E St, resuming regular route on Arlington Blvd at Pershing Dr.
