Summary of weekend service adjustments for Saturday, July 9 through Sunday, July 10:
During the weekend of Saturday, July 9 through Sunday, July 10, Metrorail will open at 7 a.m., closing at 1 a.m. Saturday and midnight Sunday with trains serving 86 of 91 stations.
Customers are reminded that five stations on the Orange Line between Stadium-Armory and New Carrollton are closed through Labor Day, Sept. 5 for the Platform Improvement Project, with additional weekend closures throughout the summer on the Silver and Blue lines between Stadium-Armory and Benning Rd for aerial structure repairs.
Highlights:
Trains every 16 minutes. Single tracking between Silver Spring and Forest Glen.
Trains operating in two segments: every 20 minutes between Franconia-Springfield and Stadium-Armory and every 18 minutes between Largo Town Center and Benning Road. No train service between Stadium-Armory and Benning Rd. Free shuttle buses provided.
Trains every 10 minutes, operating between Vienna and Ballston only. Transfer to/from Silver line to continue trip. New Carrollton, Landover, Cheverly, Deanwood and Minnesota Ave closed. Free shuttle buses provided.
Trains every 24 minutes. Single tracking between Georgia Ave and Fort Totten.

Red Line
- Trains every 16 minutes.
- Due to leak mitigation:
- Single tracking between Silver Spring and Forest Glen.
Blue Line
- Trains every 18-20 minutes.
- Due to aerial structure repairs:
- Trains operating in two segments: every 20 minutes between Franconia-Springfield and Stadium-Armory and every 18 minutes between Largo Town Center and Benning Road.
- No train service between Stadium-Armory and Benning Rd.
- Free shuttle buses provided.
Orange Line
- Trains every 10 minutes
- Due to Platform Improvement Project:

- Local shuttle between New Carrollton, Landover, Cheverly, Deanwood, Minnesota Ave & Stadium-Armory.
- Local service operates every 15-20 minutes, 7 days a week during hours the rail system is open.
- Express Service
- Express 1 with limited stops at New Carrollton, Landover & Stadium-Armory.
- Express 2 with limited stops at Deanwood, Minnesota Ave & Stadium-Armory.
- Express service operates every 10-15 minutes, 7 days a week during hours the rail system is open.
