Weekday service adjustments for maintenance November 13-16

Highlights

  • Tuesday- Thursday, 10:00 p.m. until close;
    • Red Line trains operate every 15-20 minutes 10:00 p.m. until close
    • Orange, Silver, Blue and Yellow line trains will operate every 20-25 minutes
    • Silver Line trains will operate between Wiehle-Reston East and Ballston only
    • Yellow Line trains will operate between Huntington and Mt Vernon Sq only

Passengers at stations impacted by service adjustments should follow Passenger Information Display signs, station announcements or consult a Station Manager for any boarding location changes.

Weekend service adjustments


Red Line Red Line
Weeknight: Trains every 15-20 minutes

Tuesday - Thursday, 10:00 p.m. until closing, single tracking between Grosvenor and Twinbrook to allow for joint elimination, rail, fastener and insulator renewal.


Orange Line Orange Line
Weeknight: Trains every 20-25 minutes

Tuesday - Thursday, 10:00 p.m. until closing, single tracking between Foggy Bottom and Clarendon to allow for rail, fastener and stud renewal.


Silver Line Silver Line
Weeknight: Trains every 20-25 minutes

Tuesday - Thursday, 10:00 p.m. until closing, Silver Line trains will operate between Wiehle-Reston East and Ballston only to allow for rebuilding on the Orange and Blue lines.

Customers traveling to/from other stations should use Orange and/or Blue line trains to complete their trip. At Ballston, transfer between Silver and Orange line trains on the same platform.


Blue Line Blue Line
Weeknight: Trains every 20-25 minutes

Tuesday - Thursday, 10:00 p.m. until closing, Single tracking between Foggy Bottom and Arlington Cemetery to allow for rail, fastener and stud renewal.


Yellow Line Yellow Line
Weeknight: Trains every 20-25 minutes, Huntington to Mt Vernon Sq only

Yellow Line trains will operate between Huntington and Mt Vernon Sq only to coordinate with rebuilding on the Blue Line. Customers traveling to/from stations north of Mt Vernon Sq should use the Green Line to complete their trip.

Weeknight: Regular service
