Monday-Thursday service adjustments for maintenance December 11-14

Advisory Effective: 12/11/17 - 12/21/17

Metrorail maintenance work continues this week with the following service adjustments to keep trains operating safely and reliably.

Passengers at stations impacted by these service adjustments are asked to follow Passenger Information Display signs, station announcements or consult a Station Manager for any boarding location changes.


Red Line Red Line
Weeknight: Trains every 20-25 minutes

Monday - Thursday, 10:00 p.m. until closing, single tracking between Dupont Circle and Van Ness to allow for rail fastener renewal.


Orange Line Orange Line
Weeknight: Trains every 20-25 minutes

Tuesday - Thursday, 10:00 p.m. until closing, single tracking between Eastern Market and Stadium-Armory to allow for rail fastener and stud renewal.


Silver Line Silver Line
Weeknight: Trains operate between Wiehle-Reston East and Ballston station only

Monday - Thursday, 9:30 p.m. until closing, Silver Line trains will operate between Wiehle-Reston East and Ballston only. Customers traveling to/from other stations should use Orange and/or Blue line trains to complete their trip. At Ballston, transfer between Silver and Orange lien trains on the same platform.


Blue Line Blue Line
Weeknight: Trains every 20-25 minutes

Monday- Thursday, 10:00 p.m. until closing, single tracking between Eastern Market and Stadium-Armory to allow for rail fastener and stud renewal and between Pentagon City and National Airport to allow for joint elimination and roadway cleaning.


Yellow Line Yellow Line
Weeknight: Regular service


Green Line Green Line
Weeknight: Trains every 20-25 minutes

Monday - Thursday, 10:00 p.m. until closing, single tracking between Prince George's Plaza and College Park to allow for rail renewal.
