Metrorail weekday service adjustments for Monday, March 1 through Friday, March 5
Advisory Effective: 3/1/21 - 3/5/21
During the week of Monday, March 1 through Friday, March 5, Metrorail will open at 5 a.m. and close at 11 p.m. Trains will operate normal weekday service to 89 of 91 stations during the daytime and early evening, with scheduled service adjustments on the Red, Yellow and Green lines after 10 p.m.
Due to the Platform Improvement Project, customers are advised Arlington Cemetery and Addison Rd stations will be closed with no Blue Line service through May 23. Additional Yellow Line service will operate between Franconia-Springfield and Mt Vernon Sq. Free shuttle buses will be provided to/from the closed stations.

Trains every 6-18 minutes.

Trains every 12-20 minutes operating in two segments: Huntington - Greenbelt and Franconia-Springfield - Mt Vernon Sq.

Under federal law and for your safety and the safety of others, customers are required to wear face masks while traveling on Metro.
Red Line
Weeknights: Regular intervals, trains every 6-15 minutes until 10 p.m.
- After 10 p.m. due to radio cable installation:
- Single tracking between Van Ness and Friendship Heights.
- Trains every 18 minutes until closing.
Blue Line
No service; Franconia-Springfield and Van Dorn St will be served by additional Yellow Line service operating between Franconia-Springfield and Mt Vernon Sq.
- Arlington Cemetery Station closed through May 23, due to Platform Improvement Project. Free shuttle buses provided between Rosslyn, Arlington Cemetery and Pentagon. (Shuttle bus does not stop at Arlington Cemetery after 7 p.m.)
- Shuttle bus service may be adjusted in the event of inclement weather. Check wmata.com for service updates.
Orange Line
Weeknights: Regular intervals, trains every 12-20 minutes.
Silver Line
Weeknights: Regular intervals, trains every 12-20 minutes.
- Addison Rd Station closed through May 23, due to Platform Improvement Project. Trains will pass through the station without stopping. Free shuttle buses provided between Addison Rd and Capitol Heights.

Yellow Line
Weeknights: Regular intervals, trains every 12-20 minutes.
- Trains will operate between Huntington and Greenbelt, with additional Yellow Line service between Franconia-Springfield and Mt Vernon Sq due to the Platform Improvement Project.
- After 10 p.m., due to fire system upgrades:
- Single tracking between Fort Totten and Prince George's Plaza.
Green Line
Weeknights: Regular intervals, trains every 12-20 minutes.
