Temporary Detour: Prince George’s Hospital Center, June 12

Buses serving the University of Maryland Prince George's Hospital Center in Cheverly will detour on Saturday, June 12, 2021 due to congestion caused by the relocation of patients from the Cheverly location to the new UM Capital Region Medical Center in Largo. UM Prince George's Hospital Center closes permanently on June 11 and UM Capital Region Medical Center opens on June 12. 


Routes Affected: A12, F2, F8

 

  

The following routes will detour: 

 

A12 Martin Luther King Jr Hwy northbound towards Capital Plaza

  • Buses begin detouring on the ramp to BW Pkwy at Hospital Dr, resuming route on Annapolis Rd at 62nd Ave.

A12 Martin Luther King Jr Hwy southbound towards Addison Rd Station

  • Buses begin detouring on Landover Rd at Hospital Dr, resuming regular route on Landover Rd at 62nd Ave. 

F2 Chillum Road northbound towards Takoma Station

  • Buses begin detouring on Hospital Dr at Hospital Dr, resuming route on Landover Rd at 58th Ave.

F2 Chillum Road southbound towards Cheverly Station

  • Buses begin detouring on Hospital Dr at Hospital Dr, resuming regular route on PG Hospital Rdwy at and Nurses Bldg. 

F8 Langley Park-Cheverly northbound towards Takoma Langley Crossroads

  • Buses begin detouring on Hospital Dr at Hospital Dr, resuming route on Landover Rd at 58th Ave.

F8 Langley Park-Cheverly southbound towards Cheverly Station

  • Buses begin detouring on Hospital Dr at Hospital Dr, resuming regular route on Cheverly Ave at Montrose Ave.
