The City of Fairfax will close University Dr between Route 236/Main St and North St due to the Rock The Block Party. Buses will detour around the event. Customers are encouraged to plan ahead and allow additional travel time.
The following route will detour:
29K Alexandria-Fairfax eastbound toward King St-Old Town
- Buses begin detouring on Main St at University Dr, resuming regular route on Main St at Old Lee Hwy.
- Buses begin detouring on Main St at Old Lee Hwy, resuming regular route on University Dr at Sager Ave.
Federal law requires face coverings while riding Metro.
