Temporary Detour: 2022 Girls On The Run 5K, May 22

The 2022 Girls On The Run marathon will take place on Sunday, May 22 from 6am to 1pm. Several street closures will affect Metrobus service in Arlington. Buses begin detouring from the beginning of service until the event is cleared. Please allow additional travel time and avoid the area if possible. Consider Metrorail as an alternate travel option.
Routes Affected: 1A, 2A, 10B, 22A, 23B, 23T, 25B, 38B
Street Closures:
• N Taylor St from Wilson Blvd to Fairfax Dr
• Fairfax Dr from N Taylor St to Kirkwood Rd
• 10th St N from Fairfax Dr to Washington Blvd
• N Irving St from 10th St N to 7th St N
• 9th St N from N Irving St to N Garfield St
• 7th St N from N Irving St to Washington Blvd
• N Highland St from 7th St N to 10th St N
• N Garfield St from 10th St N to 7th St N
• Washington Blvd (eastbound lanes only) from 10th St N to Pershing Dr
The following routes will detour/turnback:
1A Wilson Blvd
- Buses will operate between a bus stop located on Wilson Blvd at N. Taylor St (Stop ID#6000502)
2A Washington Blvd
- Buses will operate between Dunn Loring Station and a bus stop located on Wilson Blvd at N. Glebe Rd (Stop ID#6000925)
10B Hunting Point – Ballston
- Buses will operate between Hunting Point and a bus stop located on Wilson Blvd at N. Randolph St (Stop ID# 6001251)
22A Barcroft - South Fairlington
- Buses will operate between Pentagon Station and a bus stop located on N. Randolph St at Wilson Blvd (Stop ID# 6000466)
23B McClean - Crystal City
- Buses will operate between Crystal City Station and a bus stop located on N. Glebe Rd at N. Henderson Rd (Stop ID#6000435)
23T McClean - Crystal City eastbound to Shirlington
- Buses begin detouring on N. Glebe Rd at Fairfax Dr, resuming regular route on N. Glebe Rd at N. Randolph St.
23T McClean - Crystal City westbound to Tysons Corner
- Buses begin detouring on N. Randolph St at Wilson Blvd, resuming regular N. Glebe Rd at Wilson Blvd.
25B Carlin Springs Road
- Buses will operate between Mark Center and a bus stop located on N. Glebe Rd at Wilson Blvd (Stop ID#6000494)
38B Ballston – Farragut Square
- Buses will operate between Farragut Square and a bus stop located on N. Glebe Rd at Fairfax Dr (Stop ID# 6001251)
