Southern Avenue Parking Garage - Construction Notice

Advisory Effective: 2/12/24 - 9/30/24

In mid-February Metro will begin repair work on the parking garage at Southern Ave Station. To facilitate this repair work, approximately 125 parking spaces will be closed on the ground level through summer 2024. While Metro improves the parking garage to enhance safety and deliver a better customer experience, customers should expect reduced parking availability during this time.

Customer Information

• The Southern Ave parking garage will remain open during construction, but parking on the ground level will be limited.
• The Kiss & Ride Lot will remain open, with no parking impacts.
• Elevators and stairwells will remain open and accessible during construction, while the work is underway.

Safety

• All construction zones will be clearly marked. For your safety, stay clear of the construction zone and follow all posted signs.
• Be prepared for loud noises and traffic/pedestrian detours throughout construction.
• Vehicles parked in marked construction zones will be subject to towing. If your vehicle is towed, please call Metro Transit Police at 202-962-2121.
