5:46 a.m. A Glenmont-bound Red Line train at Shady Grove was delayed 5 minutes due to an obstruction on the track. As a result, Red Line trains were single tracked between Shady Grove and Twinbrook. Several trains were offloaded and turned back for schedule adherence/improved train spacing. Customers experienced delays up to 20 minutes until approximately 7:30 a.m.
