Silver Spring

On September 6, 2022, Metro will begin a major capital project replacing five escalators located at Silver Spring Station. The station entrance on the north side of Colesville Road will be closed for approximately four months.

On or about April 17, 2023, MDOT MTA Purple Line construction crews will begin work on the new mezzanine that will connect the future Purple Line Station to Metro, MARC, and the Paul S. Sarbanes Transit Center.
