Synopsis
Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) has established a contracting opportunity for replacing existing light fixtures in station mezzanines with state-of-the-art Light Emitting Diode (LED) fixtures, providing new wiring and dimming and lighting control system.
The Scope of Work for the “Lighting Improvement Program – Phase 6 Mezzanine Lighting” project includes the lighting design for six (6) atypical mezzanines including; detailed design, drawings, specifications and all supporting architectural and engineering work. The 6 atypical mezzanines include:
A02 – Farragut North Station – L Street Mezzanine (North Mezzanine)
B09 – Forest Glen Station Mezzanine
B10 – Wheaton Station Mezzanine
D08 – Stadium Armory Station – Stadium Mezzanine (North Mezzanine)
F06 – Anacostia Station – North and South Mezzanine
Dimming and Lighting control systems are not provided at Farragut North and Stadium Armory Mezzanines. The resultant contract, if awarded, will be federally funded.
The Solicitation documents will be made available on WMATA’s Project Management Software System (Procore). Please send your request for a copy of the solicitation documents via electronic mail to William J. Geroux, Contract Administrator at wgeroux@wmata.com. In the subject field, please enter, “Solicitation FQ18024/WJG Request for Solicitation Documents”. You must provide your email address for you to be given access. In the body of your email, please include, your name, company name, company address, telephone number, email address, and company web-site address. You will be notified via return email.
A Pre-Bid Meeting will be held on October 16, 2017, at 10:00AM, at the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority 8100 Professional Place, Hyattsville, MD 20785 –Conference Room 1. A site visit will follow the Pre-Bid Meeting, beginning at 1:00PM, locations: B09 Forest Glen Mezzanine followed by B10 Wheaton Mezzanine. In order to visit the worksite locations, Visitors must be accompanied by a WMATA representative.
Bids for the Work described herein shall be submitted before 2:00 PM (Local time) on November 1, 2017. All Bidders responding to this Solicitation must utilize Procore. Bidders must upload an electronic copy of their Bid to Procore prior to Bid closing. Immediately after bid closing, bids will be made publicly visible in the WMATA Meeting Room, Lobby Level, 600 Fifth Street, NW Washington DC 20001.
