Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) has established a contracting opportunity for the supply and installation of electrical equipment at Seven (7) Tie Breaker Stations (TBS) and Seven (7) Traction Power Sub-Stations (TPSS) to accommodate the additional power capacity as required for the 100% 8-Car Train Program. The resultant contract, if awarded, will be federally funded.
The Solicitation documents are available on WMATA’s Project Management Software System (Procore). Please send your request for a copy of the solicitation documents via electronic mail to William J. You must provide your email address for you to be given access. A Pre-Bid Meeting will be held on September 20, 2017 at 10:00AM, in the Board Room on the Lobby Level of WMATA’s Jackson Graham Building, 600 Fifth Street, NW Washington DC 20001. Following the Pre-Bid Meeting, a site visit has been scheduled at approximately 1:30pm at the C13 Tie Breaker Station (1901 Cameron Street, Alexandria, VA 22314) and followed by the C97 Traction Power Sub-Station (2062 Duke Street, Alexandria, VA 22314).
Bids for the Work described herein shall be submitted by 2:00 PM (Local time) on January 10, 2018. All Bidders responding to this Solicitation must utilize Procore. Bidders must upload an electronic copy of their Bid to Procore prior to Bid closing. Immediately after bid closing, bids will be made publicly visible in the WMATA Meeting Room, Lobby Level, 600 Fifth Street, NW Washington DC 20001.
