Synopsis
WMATA requests the services of a telecommunications consultant to determine the revenue potential of WMATA-owned property when leased to telecommunications firms.
WMATA property numbers over 200 sites throughout the region, including stations, parking lots, parking garages, rail yards, bus garages, and ancillary facilities. WMATA intends to determine if digital, cellular, microwave, laser, satellite, telephone, television, radio or wireless communications companies could be potential users of WMATA property.
The revenue generated by WMATA as a result of leasing to telecommunications firms will be shared with the selected contractor for this procurement as consideration for their services.
