Synopsis

The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) requires the services of a qualified Contractor to Design, Install, Operate, Maintain and Own Solar Photovoltaic (PV) System for a twenty (20) years Power Purchase Agreement or propose a License Agreement for the purpose of developing solar energy for the same period at nine (9) Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) Sites (the majority of sites are surface parking lots) to achieving commercial operation by December 31, 2016. The Contractor shall provide all necessary personnel, labor, materials, tools, equipment, permits, testing, inspection, acceptance and services to: Support development of Solar Photovoltaic (PV) Installments at nine (9) WMATA Sites.

The period of performance is Twenty (20) Years.

One (1) Site Visit will be held: November 04, 2015 at 8:30 a.m. local time. Offerors are strongly encouraged to attend the Site Visit. NO OTHER SITE VISIT WILL BE CONDUCTED. Interested parties are required to RSVP by email to lpepper@wmata.com with attendee names, titles, company and date of attendance and meet in the Lobby, at Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority, 600 Fifth Street, NW, Washington, DC 20001. Upon arrival, you will be required to provide the security guard with a driver's license photo identification in order to gain entry into the Authority.

Proposal Due Date: Your proposal must be submitted with all required documents as detailed in the RFP, no later than 2:00 P.M. local time on November 24, 2015, to:

WMATA’s Office of Procurement and Materials, 600 Fifth Street, NW, Room 3C-02, Washington, DC 20001-2651.

Reserve the week of December 7-11, 2015 for discussions (if required) to clarify final proposals.

The successful Offeror must provide a Certificate of Insurance with Worker's Compensation (Statutory), Employer's Liability, Commercial General Liability, Automobile Liability coverage in the specified amounts as stated in the solicitation, with WMATA included as an additional insured.

Registration is located at http://www.wmata.com If you are a contractor and HAVE done business with WMATA in the past, please electronically request your company’s User ID and Password at http://www.wmata.com
