Synopsis
The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) seeks to purchase/renew the EMC Documentum Maintenance and Support contract. Having continuous support for Documentum is crucial to the Authority to receive patch upgrades and product support as needed. The annual support also ensures that WMATA is using Documentum legally. WMATA uses a number of EMC Documentum related softwares/products that help users access the Authority’s records in Documentum. There are over 2 million documents in Documentum distributed across 4 Documentum repositories that occupy over 5 Terabytes of data. Amongst these are records that include but are not limited to HR Records, Railcar EMI Workflows and PAF Workflows documents, BTRA, RTRA Data, 7k Railcar Data are some of the records of which are currently stored in Documentum. There is also another suite of products that are associated with Documentum, called as ‘Captiva’. The Documentum related products help users search and retrieve the documents in the Documentum repositories and also perform workflow activities. Captiva related products help users scan documents into Documentum either by using a desktop scanner or an MFD scanner at WMATA. NOTE: The IFB contains a zero (0%) percent DBE Goal requirement. This Contract is part of the Authority’s Small Business and Local Preference Program (SBLPP).
