Synopsis

RFP No. FQ15245 – Para Transit Active Safety Systems for ACCS vehicles. The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (Metro) is soliciting proposals from qualified contractor to The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) requires Active Safety Systems to be installed on existing vans in FY2016. These systems shall include the following requirements/elements: Forward Collision Warning with Headway Monitoring warning, Rear View Cameras with active pedestrian alert, Clearance Light Package, White Roof Strobe (Like School Buses), and Lane Departure Warning.

WMATA requires the production of one (1) completed vehicle (pilot vehicle) to be presented to representatives of WMATA for a First Article Inspection and final approval prior to placing the remaining Active Safety Systems elements on to existing vehicles. Proposals are due on October 14, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at WMATA, WMATA, Office of Procurement and Materials, 600 Fifth Street, NW, Room 3C-02, Washington, DC 20001.
