Synopsis
The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) submits this Request for Information (RFI) from those entities (Contractor / Respondent) interested in providing industry information regarding the Scope Overview below. The purpose of this RFI is to solicit information that will enable WMATA to determine industry participation in response to the release of a future solicitation.
Input that entities or interested participants provide will be reviewed and considered.
This is a Request for Information only and your response is not an offer. This Request for Information does not commit WMATA to any incurred costs in preparation of any submission to this notice, or to contract for services.
WMATA is in the process of updating its radio communication system. As part of this project, WMATA has they have a need for approximately 100 miles of 1 ⅝ inch radiating coaxial cable. Additionally, WMATA supplementary projects may dictate the need for an additional 100 miles of the same radiating coaxial cable.
WMATA is seeking a Contractor / Vendor / Supplier who can satisfy the FTA Buy America requirements and comply with the technical requirements.
