Synopsis
The objective of this document is to enter into a contract with a qualified Contractor to implement a fully-functional, scalable automatic vehicle location (AVL) system seamlessly for the Washington Metropolitan Transit Authority (WMATA) Metro Transit Police Department (MTPD) in accordance with the terms and conditions of this Statement of Work. WMATA has identified the need for AVL capability in order to better support the operations of its police department and is seeking an overall solution that addresses AVL requirements in an environment that will minimize the need for numerous specific custom-built interfaces.
