The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) is considering the replacement of the existing Southern Avenue Bus Garage, located at the intersection of Southern Avenue and Marlboro Pike in Prince George's County, Maryland. Two alternatives have been identified for the proposed replacement of the Southern Avenue Bus Garage. WMATA is considering a developer proposal to develop a new bus operations and maintenance facility at a site located within 5 miles of the existing facility, as well as the option of rebuilding the facilities at the existing site.
