MetroAccess customers will be able to travel on the holiday, however, subscription trips will be canceled. Customers may make a separate reservation to travel on the holiday online or by calling 301-562-5360 (TTY 301-588-7535).

On Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve, Metrorail's $2 weekend fares will be in effect since they fall on a weekend day. On Christmas and New Year's Day, regular weekday fares will be in effect.

Parking is free at all Metro-owned parking garages and lots on holidays except for Morgan Blvd. and Downtown Largo on New Year's Eve during the Commanders game when non-riders will pay $15 for special event parking.

For customers going out of town or welcoming friends or family during the holidays, Metro gets you to the region’s transportation hubs.

Connect to Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport via the Yellow and Blue lines, Washington Dulles International Airport on the Silver Line, and Union Station via the Red Line or Red Line shuttles. Build in extra time to get to Union Station due to construction.
