Metro’s holiday service schedule, live music, and patriotic trains and buses for Veterans Day

Metro is honoring veterans this week with live music in stations and a patriotic train and bus serving customers throughout the region.

On Thursday, November 9, the Eastern High School Blue & White Marching Machine will perform live music at Smithsonian (National Mall entrance) and Pentagon stations from 4 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. The 50-student band will be traveling via Metro to perform patriotic music for customers at the stations.

Through the end of November, customers can also find a special wrapped train and bus honoring those who served our country. The red design features an American flag motif and the message: “Proud to serve those who served our country” and “Honoring Veterans Day.” Metro’s special train and bus can be tracked at wmata.com/live by selecting the “Special Edition” tab. They will only appear on the tracker when the vehicles are in service.
