East Falls Church and Vienna: Bicycle Rack Removal on December 3, 2025

Advisory Effective: 11/26/25 - 12/5/25

As part of a safety improvement initiative, select bicycle racks at East Falls Church and Vienna Metrorail stations will be permanently removed on December 3, 2025. This action is being taken to enhance customer safety by aligning bicycle parking infrastructure with areas monitored by Metro Transit Police Department (MTPD) surveillance systems.

Racks Scheduled for Removal:

• Vienna Metro Station: One rack located at the North Entrance, on the east side of the door.
• East Falls Church Metro Station: Racks along North Sycamore Street, located outside the camera-monitored perimeter.

During this time, all other bicycle racks at both stations will remain available for customer use. Access to the Bike & Ride facilities will also remain unaffected.

Metro remains committed to providing secure, accessible, and well-maintained bicycle parking options for all riders.
