Today's Service Exceptions

5:00 a.m. A Largo Town Center-bound Blue Line train at Franconia-Springfield did not operate, resulting in a 24-minute gap in service.

5:28 a.m. Due to a switch problem outside Rhode Island Avenue, Red Line trains were single tracked between Noma-Gallaudet U and Rhode Island Avenue. As a result, some trains were offloaded and turned back for schedule adherence/improved train spacing. Customers experienced delays up to 20 minutes until approximately 2:30 p.m.

6:51 a.m. A Branch Avenue-bound Green Line train at Suitland was expressed for schedule adherence/improved train spacing.

8:39 a.m. A New Carrollton-bound Orange Line train at Landover was expressed for schedule adherence/improved train spacing.

10:58 a.m. A New Carrollton-bound Orange Line train at Federal Triangle was delayed 4 minutes due to debris on the track.

12:30 p.m. A Largo Town Center-bound Silver Line train outside Wiehle-Reston East  was delayed 5 minutes due to a signal problem.

12:47 p.m. A Greenbelt-bound Yellow Line train at Mt Vernon Square was delayed 5 minutes due to a door problem.

5:06 p.m. A Glenmont-bound Red Line train at Union Station was delayed 4 minutes due to an operational problem.

5:30 p.m. A Glenmont-bound Red Line train at Forest Glen was expressed for schedule adherence/improved train spacing.

5:54 p.m. A Shady Grove-bound Red Line train at Takoma was expressed for schedule adherence/improved train spacing.

6:32 p.m. A New Carrollton-bound Orange Line train at McPherson Square was delayed 17 minutes due to a medical emergency.

8:56 p.m. A Largo Town Center-bound Silver Line train at Morgan Boulevard was expressed for schedule adherence/improved train spacing.

10:19 p.m. A Branch Avenue-bound Green Line train at Georgia Ave-Petworth was offloaded due to an equipment problem. Passengers experienced a 9-minute delay.

10:21 p.m. A Greenbelt-bound Green Line train at Georgia Ave-Petworth was offloaded and turned back for schedule adherence/improved train spacing. Passengers experienced an 8-minute delay.

10:22 p.m. A Largo Town Center-bound Blue Line train at Van Dorn Street was offloaded due to striking a deer. Passengers experienced an 11-minute delay.
