M42 Randolph Rd-College Park
The M42 operates between College Park-UMD Station and North Bethesda Station along Randolph Road, linking Glenmont Station, White Oak, and Cherry Hill Park Campground. It provides service to Wheaton High School and the Tech Road Park & Ride. On weekdays after 8 p.m., service runs only between Cherry Hill and College Park. The M42 follows a route similar to the former Z2 route along New Hampshire Avenue between Randolph Road and Old Columbia Pike, the former C8 route between North Bethesda Station and White Oak, and the former Ride On Route 10 between Parklawn/Randolph and New Hampshire Avenue. The overlaps in the M42 and M44 routes result in improved service frequency at shared stops.
