Weekend trackwork: Buses replace trains at some Blue, Orange, and Silver Line stations; Red Line to single track
This weekend, Metro is working on the aerial structure over the Anacostia River, which will cause service outages on the Blue, Orange, and Silver lines.
Crews will work on cross tie renewal, grout pad repair, replace electrical systems, and repair concrete.
Local and express shuttle bus service will replace trains on Saturday from Eastern Market to New Carrollton and Addison Road. On Sunday, bus service will replace trains between Eastern Market and Cheverly and Addison Road.
On the Red Line, Metro is repairing leaks as part of the Tunnel Leak Mitigation Project.

Red Line
Saturday and Sunday: Trains single track between Van Ness and Friendship Heights. Trains run every 9 minutes between Glenmont and Dupont Circle and every 18 minutes between Dupont Circle and Shady Grove.
Blue Line
Saturday and Sunday: Trains run every 12 minutes (daytime) and 15 minutes (evening) between Franconia-Springfield and Federal Center SW. Free shuttles replace train service between Eastern Market and Addison Road. Downtown Largo-bound Blue Line customers will need to transfer to Silver or Orange at Federal Center SW to catch shuttles at Eastern Market.
Orange Line
Saturday: Trains run every 12 minutes (daytime) and 15 minutes (evening) between Vienna and Eastern Market. Free shuttles replace train service between New Carrollton and Eastern Market.
Sunday: Trains run every 12 minutes (daytime) and 15 minutes (evening) between Vienna and Eastern Market and every 10 minutes (daytime) and 15 minutes (evening) between Cheverly and New Carrollton. Free shuttle buses replace train service between Eastern Market and Cheverly.
Silver Line
Saturday and Sunday: Trains run every 12 minutes (daytime) and 15 minutes (evening) between Ashburn and Eastern Market and every 10 minutes (daytime) and 15 minutes (evening) between Addison Road and Downtown Largo. Free shuttle buses replace train service between Eastern Market and Addison Road.
