Danny O

Danny is from Ward 5. He's a regular Metro Access customer, and as a Northeast D.C. resident, he rides the bus to Union Station before switching over to the train or Metro Access, depending on the weather and if he is traveling with his service dog.

Danny has deep appreciation for the people behind Metro, especially the Metro Access operators who go out of their way to make him feel cared for. Danny remembered one time when he wasn’t feeling well, he called Metro Access.

"The operator who accepted my call,” Danny recalled, “She soothed me, saying, ‘Don’t worry, we’ll get you where you need to go. You just relax and let me do the work for you.’ She was an angel.”

Danny taps because, to him, it's simply the right thing to do — the same way he pays for groceries or the electric bill.
