On July 20, 2026, Metro will be performing maintenance repairs on the elevator servicing the mezzanine to street-level at Capitol Heights Station. The work will take approximately four days to complete, and the elevator will be out of service during that time.
Customer impacts
- The mezzanine to street-level elevator will be out of service. Please take the free shuttle to Addison Rd or Benning Rd to continue your trip. To request a shuttle, call 202-GO-METRO (202-466-3876).
- For your safety, stay clear of the construction zone and follow all posted signs.
