Courtesy stops
Courtesy Stops for Metro Bus is a nighttime program that allows customers to be dropped off at a safe location along their bus route between regular bus stops.
When Courtesy Stops are available
Between 9 pm and 5 am, customers riding most Metro Bus routes may request a Courtesy Stop.
How to request a Courtesy Stop
Customers can request a Courtesy Stop in three easy steps:
- When boarding, let the Bus Operator know you plan to request a Courtesy Stop.
- As the bus approaches your desired drop-off location, pull the Stop Requested cord to signal the operator.
- Walk to the front of the bus and inform the Bus Operator of your Courtesy Stop location.
Courtesy Stop guidelines
- Courtesy Stops are made at the front of the bus only and not through the rear doors.
- All Courtesy Stops are at the discretion of the Bus Operator to ensure customer safety and to avoid interference with traffic or road conditions.
