Tenleytown - AU Station Phase 4 Canopy Installation

On May 4, 2026, Metro will begin Phase 4 to install the canopy above the station escalators at the Tenleytown – AU East Station Entrance.
Metro is installing canopies as part of an ongoing project to replace or install nine canopies across the Metro Rail system by 2026. Canopies shield customers and escalators from weather conditions, helping to protect the life, longevity, and reliability of our escalators.
How will this work affect my trip?
Work on the canopy will take place during non-revenue hours. Throughout construction, the entrance and escalators will remain open.
