Temporary Detour: 2026 Fiesta DC Festival and Parade

Routes Affected: D10, D1X, D30, D40, D4X, D44, D50, D60, D6X

 

Beginning on Friday, September 25, from 11:00 pm through Sunday, September 27, at 8:00 pm, buses will detour due to the 2026 Fiesta DC Festival and Parade. Please allow additional travel time and avoid the area if possible.

 

Street Closures:

 

• 7^th St from Pennsylvania Ave, NW to Independence Ave, SW
• Constitution Ave from 7^th St to 15^th St, NW
• 10^th St between Pennsylvania Ave and Constitution Ave, NW
• 9^th St between Pennsylvania Ave and Constitution Ave, NW
• 12^th St between Pennsylvania Ave and Madison Dr, NW
• 14^th St between Pennsylvania Ave and Independence Ave, SW
• SE/SW Freeway- Access to 12^th St Tunnel from I-395 ramp
• Inbound I-395 (14^th St Bridge)- All traffic will be sent eastbound on I-395
• Inbound I-395 (14^th St Bridge- HOV)- All traffic will be sent eastbound on I-395

 

The following routes will detour:

D10 Pennsylvania Ave eastbound towards Southern Ave

• Buses begin detouring on 13^th St, NW at E St, resuming regular route on Pennsylvania Ave, SE at 6^th St.

D10 Pennsylvania Ave westbound towards Foggy bottom

• Buses begin detouring on Pennsylvania Ave, SE at 6^th St, resuming regular route on 13^th St, NW at E St.

D1X Pennsylvania Ave Limited

• Buses will operate between Naylor Road Station and a bus stop located on 13^th St, NW at G St (stop ID# 1001073).

D4X 7^th St-Georgia Ave Limited

• Buses will operate between Silver Spring Station and a bus stop located on 7^th St, NW at H St (stop ID# 1003418).

D44 11^th St

• Buses will operate between Fort Totten Station and a bus stop located on 11^th St, NW at G St (stop ID# 1001068).

D6X 16^th St Limited

• Buses will operate between Silver Spring Station and a bus stop located on 13^th St, NW at G St (stop ID# 1001073).

• Buses will operate between Fort Totten Station and a bus stop located on 9^th St, NW at E St (stop ID# 1001014).

D40 7^th St- Georgia Ave

• Buses will operate between Silver Spring Station and a bus stop located on 9^th St, NW at F St (stop ID# 1001055).

D50 14^th St

• Buses will operate between 14^th & Colorado Ave and a bus stop located on 4^th St, SW at M St (stop ID# 1003690).

D60 16^th St

• Buses will operate between Silver Spring Station and a bus stop located on 13^th St, SW at G St (stop ID# 1001073).
