Temporary Bus Relocations at Southern Avenue Station

Phase 1: September 14 - 27, 2026

• The following routes will relocate during construction: 
  • P97 relocates to Bay D from Bay N
  • P93 WB and P94 WB relocates to Bay E from Bay P
  • P93 EB and P94 EB relocates to Bay F from Bay Q

Phase 2: Sept. 28 - Oct. 11, 2026

• The following routes will relocate during construction: 
  • D10 relocates to Bay F from Bay A
  • C29 relocates to Bay G from Bay B
  • C15 relocates to Bay H from Bay C

Phase 3: Oct. 12 - 25, 2026

• The following routes will relocate during construction: 
  • Prince George's County P95 relocates to Bay K from Bay M
  • Prince George's County P88 relocates to Bay J from Bay L

Customer information

• If your shelter is closed, please follow signs.
• Riders should follow posted signage directing them to the temporary stops along the Minnesota Avenue Bus Loop.

Safety

• All temporary bus stop areas and construction zones will be clearly marked. For your safety, please stay clear of work areas and follow all posted signs.
• Expect possible noise during construction work hours.

Launched in 2023 through the Bus Stop and Shelter Improvements Program, our ongoing Better Bus initiative continues replacing some of the region’s oldest bus shelters—many in place for nearly 50 years. The new shelters maintain weather protection while adding enhanced safety features such as translucent walls, LED‑lit roofs for improved visibility, and designated accessibility areas with AIDs and ADA‑compliant seating.
