Anacostia Parking Garage Kiss and Ride Partial Closure

Advisory Effective: Apr 21, 2026 – Aug 30, 2026
On April 21, 2026, the middle lane of the Kiss and Ride area in the Anacostia Metro Station parking garage will be closed for inspections conducted by the District of Columbia Water and Sewer Authority.
This work is expected to last approximately 4 months. During this time, the remaining Kiss and Ride lanes will stay open and available to the public.
Construction activities will take place during regular revenue hours. Metro will make every effort to minimize disruptions while maintaining safe access for customers.

Work in the parking garage will take place during revenue hours. Throughout construction, the remainder of the Kiss and Ride will remain open.
How long will the project take?
Work in the parking garage will begin on April 21, 2026 until August 30, 2026.
