Weekend trackwork: Buses replace trains on portions of Blue, Orange, and Silver lines; Presidents’ Day service announced

Metro has trackwork on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday and adjusted service hours on Monday due to the Presidents’ Day holiday.
On Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, the Blue Line will operate Franconia-Springfield to Greenbelt. There will be no Blue Line service from Pentagon to Downtown Largo.
The Orange Line will operate in two segments between Vienna and Clarendon and Foggy Bottom and New Carrollton.
The Silver Line will operate in two segments between Ashburn and Clarendon and Foggy Bottom and Downtown Largo due to track maintenance.
Local and express shuttle buses replace trains between Foggy Bottom and Pentagon and Foggy Bottom and Clarendon.
Crews will be working to replace the switch machines in the interlocking where trains are able to cross between separate tracks.Crews will also rebuild concrete grout pads that support the tracks, and install new platform edge lighting.
Service Information
Blue Line:Trains run every 16 minutes between Franconia-Springfield and Greenbelt, to avoid trackwork occurring between Pentagon and Foggy Bottom. Customers can transfer at L’Enfant Plaza to Orange Line or Silver Line trains to continue their trips towards Downtown Largo or Foggy Bottom.
Orange Line:Trains will run every 12 minutes during the day and every 15 minutes after 9:30 p.m. between Vienna and Clarendon.
Trains will run every 15 minutes between Foggy Bottom and New Carrollton.
Silver Line:Trains will run every 12 minutes during the day and every 15 minutes after 9:30 p.m. between Ashburn and Clarendon.
Trains will run every 15 minutes between Foggy Bottom and Downtown Largo.
Red Line:Normal Service
Yellow Line:Normal service
Green Line: Normal service
Presidents’ Day Service Information
On Monday, Feb. 17, Metrorail is operating from 5 a.m. to midnight but with a reduced schedule.
Red Line trains will run every 6 minutes during the day and every 10 minutes after 10:00 p.m. Trains will be single tracking at Silver Spring only.
Green and Yellow line trains will run every 8 minutes all day.
Blue, Orange, and Silver Line trains will run every 12 minutes during the day and every 15 minutes after 9:30 p.m.
