MEDIA ADVISORY: Metro Celebrates Autism Transit Project Participants at Special Event on Wednesday, April 23 

WHAT:

Metro will recognize an amazing group of young transit enthusiasts with autism who used their remarkable voices to announce boarding and safety announcements while raising awareness about autism and the Autism Transit Project.Participants and their families will meet Metro staff and learn about transit while touring a rail car and other fleet vehicles, including our historic Rosa Parks bus. Kids will also interact with MTPD officers and their K-9 partners and have a Q&A session with Metro General Manager Randy Clarke. This is the third year that Metro has participated in the Autism Transit Project with in-station announcements and an event to recognize the participants.
