L'Enfant Plaza Remplacement des escalators

En mai 2024, Metro poursuivi un important projet d’investissement remplaçant les escalators d’entrée situés à L'Enfant Plaza station. Le projet remplacera les trois escalators à l’entrée B (6th St) de fin mai 2024 à environ juin 2025, ainsi que les trois escalators à l’entrée C (9th St, L’Enfant Plaza) d’environ juin 2025 à août 2026. Les escalators seront remplacés par des modèles neufs, plus durables et fiables.
L’entrepreneur de Metro, KONE, installe les escalators dans le cadre d’un projet en cours visant à remplacer 139 escalators sur tout le système Metrorail d’ici 2028, afin de garantir que les infrastructures régionales restent en bon état.
Les trois escalators d’entrée à l’entrée A (7th St, Maryland Ave) ont été remplacés et rouverts aux clients en janvier 2023.
Comment ce travail va-t-il affecter mon voyage ?
Pendant les travaux, un escalator sera fermé à la fois. Toutes les entrées et l’ascenseur resteront ouverts.
Combien de temps prendra le projet ?
Le remplacement des trois escalators d’entrée à l’entrée B (6th St) devrait prendre environ 13 mois. Le remplacement des trois escalators d’entrée à l’entrée C (9e rue, L’Enfant Plaza) devrait prendre environ 14 mois.
