What happens next
When Metro receives your complaint, we will record it in our database and assign it to an investigator. The investigator will contact you in writing and/or by telephone to get more information. Provided we have all the information we need, Metro’s Office of Equal Employment Opportunity (OEEO) will investigate your complaint within 90 days.
The investigator will prepare a draft written response, which the Director of Metro's OEEO Office will review. The Director will approve the final response, which will be sent to you. We will also notify you of your right to file a complaint outside of Metro.
If we receive additional relevant information, or if also file your complaint separately with another agency when you file it with us, it may take longer than 90 days to investigate your complaint. If you don’t provide all the information we ask you for, it may delay our investigation, or we may have to close your complaint without an investigation.
