Stations with restrooms that are available for customer use
Currently, 16 of these stations have at least one accessible customer restroom. Work is underway at the remaining 20 stations to provide at least one accessible restroom at each location.
Customer restroom access varies by station. At some stations, customer restrooms are available without assistance. At other stations, customers may request restroom access from the station manager, who is generally located at the kiosk near the faregates.
In addition to customer restrooms available at Metro stations, public restrooms operated by other organizations may be available nearby. Examples include facilities within Union Station and the Silver Spring Transit Center, freestanding Throne restrooms operated in the District of Columbia, and restrooms at certain locations on the National Mall. These facilities are not operated by Metro, and their availability and hours may change. Customers should verify availability and hours directly with the facility operator.
