Sam G

Sam is a lifelong Metro customer based in North Bethesda, near Grosvenor-Strathmore. He rides the Red Line all the time and has a long history with the bus too, including the S9 from back when he lived in Silver Spring. Metro's woven into his whole life, taking him everywhere from Metro Center and Farragut North to Navy Yard, U Street, and Columbia Heights.

Growing up in the D.C. area, he was often more excited for the Metro ride on school field trips than wherever they were actually headed. That early love of transit ended up shaping his career as an urban planner. He's even got a personal motto: "Support your public transit, and your public transit will support you."

Sam taps because he sees public transit as a public good, something that benefits everybody and makes for better, stronger communities.
