2022-23 Blue and Yellow Major Construction

Project Dates:

September 10 - November 5, 2022 - No Blue and Yellow Line south of Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport station
September 10, 2022 - May 6, 2023 - No Yellow Line service between Pentagon and L'Enfant Plaza stations

Purpose: This project served two purposes, tying in the new Potomac Yard Station connected the new Potomac Yard Station to the mainline rail system and rehabilitating the Yellow Line tunnel and bridge between Pentagon and L'Enfant Plaza stations. The work required the Yellow Line tunnel near L'Enfant Plaza Station and the bridge across the Potomac River to close for approximately eight months.
