Metro opens 50th anniversary pop-up shop featuring new merch, collectibles, and more

Today, as part of our 50th anniversary celebration, Metro will open our 50 Years of Metro Pop-Up Shop. It’s stocked with everything you need to celebrate five decades of America’s Metro System, including exclusive 50th anniversary styles, rare finds, authentic bus stop signs, and a little DMV pride to honor the region's most iconic ride. 

The shop will have tees featuring original Metro concept art, commemorative quarter-zips honoring the system anniversary and the opening of each Metro Rail line, vintage-style crop tops and baby tees, hats, postcards, and other classic pieces. Want to send a note to friends or family? If you buy a postcard and fill it out in-store, we’ll take care of stamping and mailing!

Metro 50th Pop-Up Shop Details 

Dates: Open daily (including holidays) from Thursday, June 25 to Friday, July 10

Hours: 

Weekdays: 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. (extended hours until 7 p.m. on Wednesdays and on June 26)

Weekends: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Getting there: Take the Green, Yellow, Orange, Blue, or Silver lines to L’Enfant Plaza and use Exit B. Cross D Street SW to reach the entrance of the pop-up shop.
