Free Bus Transfers to/from Rail
Ride Metrobus free when transferring to/from Metrorail. Receive a $2 transfer discount that covers the fare for most Metrobus routes*. You must use a SmarTrip® card to receive the discount.
*Does not cover cost the full cost of transferring to Express routes.

Discounted Weekend One-Way Metrorail Fares
Ride Metrorail for just $2 for any one-way trip all weekend. Fare includes free transfer to/from Metrobus.

Save 20% on 7-Day Regional Bus Pass
Now you can get a 7-Day Regional Bus Pass for just $12 - and a senior/disabled pass for only $6.

Metrorail

Metrorail will stay open until 1 a.m. instead of midnight on Friday and Saturday. That’s one hour more to be out and about. Metrorail is open until midnight Sunday-Thursday.
Metrorail will open at 7 a.m. instead of 8 a.m. on Sunday. That’s one hour earlier to get you where you need to be.
We’ll be running more frequent rail service all day, not just during rush hours. You can expect the average wait time for a train to be 2-7 minutes. See the table below for details.

Average Metrorail wait time = half the frequency of scheduled train service.
If your station is served by 3 lines ... your average wait is 2-3 minutes
If your station is served by 2 lines ... your average wait is 3-5 minutes
If your station is served by 1 line ... your average wait is 5-7 minutes
