Temporary Detour: Del Ray Tree Lighting on December 7

Sunday, December 7, 2025 | 4pm – 9pm 

Routes Affected: A11, A12 

On Sunday, December 7, from 4pm until 9pm, buses will detour because of the Del Ray Tree Lighting. Please allow additional travel time and avoid the area if possible.

Street Closures: 

• Mount Vernon Ave btwn E Custis Ave & Mount Ida Ave 

•  E Del Ray Ave btwn Uhler Ave & E Oxford Ave 

The following routes will detour:  

A11 Pentagon – Huntington northbound towards Pentagon 

A12 Ballston – Hunting Point northbound towards Ballston 

• Buses begin detouring on Mount Vernon Ave at E Monroe St, resuming regular route on Mt Vernon Ave at Kennedy St.  

A11 Pentagon – Huntington southbound towards Huntington 

A12 Ballston – Hunting Point southbound towards Hunting Point 

• Buses begin detouring on Mount Vernon Ave at Commonwealth Ave, resuming regular route on Mt Vernon Ave at E Nelson Ave.
