Due to the Maryland Purple Line Light Rail Project, Metrobus will detour beginning Monday, April 27 to Saturday, May 2, 8:00pm to 6:00am nightly. Level 1 of the Silver Spring Transit Center will open on Saturday, May 2. 

 • Colesville Rd btwn East West Hwy & Wayne Ave

 J1, J2 Bethesda-Silver Spring eastbound toward Silver Spring

 • Buses begin detouring on Colesville Rd at East West Highway, ending service at a bus stop south of Colesville Rd at East West Hwy (stop ID#2001001).

J1, J2 Bethesda-Silver Spring westbound Montgomery Mall

 • Buses begin service at a bus stop southbound on Colesville Rd at East West Hwy (stop ID#2001001), resuming regular route on East West Hwy at Summit Hills Apt. 

S2, S4 16th Street northbound toward Silver Spring 

 • Buses begin detouring on Colesville Rd at Eastern Ave, ending service at a bus stop northbound on Colesville Rd at East West Hwy (stop ID#2001009).

S2 16th Street southbound toward Federal Triangle 

 • Buses begin service at a bus stop northbound on Colesville Rd at East West Hwy (stop ID#2001009), resuming regular route on Eastern Ave NW at 13th St. 

S4 16th Street southbound toward Federal Triangle 

 • Buses begin service at a bus stop northbound on Colesville Rd at East West Hwy (stop ID#2001009), resuming regular route on 16th St NW at North Portal Dr.
