Temporary Detour: 2021 Village of Fairlington’s Annual Fourth of July Parade

Routes Affected: 7A, 7F, 22A 

 

On Sunday, July 4, 2021, from 10 am to 12 pm, routes 7A, 7F, and 22A will detour to accommodate the Village of Fairlington’s Annual Fourth of July Parade. As a result, S. Abingdon St between I-395 and 30th St S., 29th St S, and 28th St S will be closed to motorists. Customers are encouraged to plan ahead and allow additional travel time. 

 

Detours 


7A Lincolnia-North Fairlington northbound toward the Pentagon City

  • Buses begin detouring on S. Walter Reed Dr at King St, resuming regular route on Shirlington Transit Center at S. Quincy St.

7A Lincolnia-North Fairlington southbound toward Lincolnia 

  • Buses begin detouring on S. Quincy St at Shirlington Transit Center, resuming regular route on N. Beauregard St at King St.

7F Lincolnia-North Fairlington northbound toward the Pentagon 

  • Buses begin detouring on King St at S. 28th St, resuming regular route on S. Quincy St at Shirlington Transit Center.

7F Lincolnia-North Fairlington southbound toward Lincolnia 

  • Buses begin detouring on S Quincy St at Campbell Ave, resuming regular route on King St at N Hampton Dr.

22A Barcroft-South Fairlington eastbound toward the Pentagon 

  • Buses begin detouring on S. Randolph St at S. Quincy St, resuming regular route on Martha Custis Drive at Preston Rd.

22A Barcroft-South Fairlington westbound toward Ballston-MU  

  • Buses begin detouring on N. Quaker Ln at Preston Rd, resuming regular route on S. Arlington Mill Rd at S. Randolph Rd.
