Temporary Detour due to Purple Line Construction Project: Connecticut Ave between Manor Rd and East West Hwy, September 14-18

Road closures on Connecticut Ave between Manor Rd and East West Hwy will occur nightly beginning at 8:00 pm until the end of service due to the Purple Line Construction Project. Metrobus will detour between Connecticut Ave and East West Hwy and Connecticut Ave and Jones Bridge Rd. Customers are encouraged to plan ahead and allow additional travel time.
The following route will detour:
L8 Connecticut Avenue northbound toward Aspen Hill
Buses begin detouring on East West Hwy at Connecticut Ave, resuming regular route on Connecticut Ave at Jones Bridge Rd.
L8 Connecticut Avenue southbound toward Friendship Heights
Buses begin detouring on Jones Bridge Rd at Connecticut Ave, resuming regular route on Connecticut Ave at East West Hwy.
